Past: Jackson 4th of July Celebration

The city of Jackson will hold its annual 4th of July celebration in the park. The 5K walk/run and children's fun run will start at 7 a.m. It will start and finish at Healthpoint Fitness at 414 E. Main St. The mud volleyball tournament will start at 8 a.m. west of pavilion 1. Helicopter rides will begin at 8:30 a.m. at softball field 2. There will be a beer garden, a car show, kiddie train rides, pony rides, duck races, golf ball drop. The food stands will open at 9 a.m. A Little Miss and Mister Firecracker Pageant will be held at 10 a.m. at the bandshell Pat Schwent and Saxy Jazz will play at 7 p.m. with the Jackson Municipal Band playing at 8 p.m. at the bandshell. The fireworks show will be held at 9:30 p.m.
