Past: Bonus Day - Cape Marketeers Club!

The Cape Marketeers Club in collaboration with the Cape Girardeau Community Gardens is hosting a Bonus Marketeers Club Day on July 18 from 8:00am – 10:00am at the Red Star Community Garden. “Marketeers” will plant in the garden and learn about plant pollination and anatomy. Marketeers will earn $5 in market tokens after participating to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the Cape Riverfront Market.

The Cape Marketeers Club at the Cape Riverfront Market is a free educational program for kids ages 5 - 12 that takes place the 2nd and 4th Saturdays May through August from 8 a.m. until noon. Kids earn $2 in market tokens each time they participate to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the market.

This program emphasizes the importance of fresh, local food and teaches children about nutrition, science and growing food through hands-on demonstrations and activities.
