Past: St. Lawrence Parish picnic

There will be a food stand with hamburgers, barbecue, firsh sandwiches, curly fries, funnel cakes, ice cream and beverages. In addition, there will be a petting zoo, games, bingo with cash prizes, a raffle for cash and prizes, attendance prizes, an antique display and attendance prizes.

A cornhole tournament will begin at 6:30 p.m. July 17. The entry fee is $10 per person. Bring a partner. For more information, call Steve at 573-380-2052.

The Little Mr. and Miss New Hamburg contest will take place at 7 p.m. July 17 and is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 5 who are parishioners and relatives of parishioners. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. on the picnic grounds.

A horseshoe tournament will begin at 1 p.m. July 18.

The Heartland Talent Contest will take place at 2 p.m. July 18. There will be a junior and senior division. The contest is open to ages 6 to 22. The deadline for entry is July 16. For entry forms, call Laura at 573-887-6112 or Marlene at 573-979-2291.

The smorgasbord dinner will take place for 4 to 7 p.m. July 18 at the St. Lawrence Parish Center and will consist of fried chicken, dumplings, beef and gravy, corn, green beans, slaw, dessert and drinks. The cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children age 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger.

No coolers are allowed on the grounds.
