Past: River Tales Classic Car Show and Cruise In

The River Tales Classic Car Show and Cruise In will be held Sept 19 and 20. The Cruise In will start at Capaha Park with complimentary barbecue, chips and beverages, plus oldies tunes and door prizes. It will be held 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. The Car Show will be held Sunday in downtown Cape Girardeau. Registration will be 8 a.m. to noon. There is a $15 entry fee per vehicle. Proceeds from the show are used to support Toybox, Safe House for Women and other charitable organizations. The free spectator show will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Judging will be 1 to 3 p.m. and the awards ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. There are 37 classes with more than 100 trophies awarded, dash plaques, special awards, 50/50 drawings, door and cash prizes and souvenir T-shirts available for purchase.
