Past: Sprockets in Spring

Union Pacific Depot Museum - Sikeston, MO

Stepping up to address the scarcity of Springtime bicycle rides at the confluence of Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas, bicyclists from throughout the Midwest are invited to the "Sprockets in Spring" (SiS) bicycle ride May 7. Presented by Lions Club of Sikeston and featuring the truly flat terrain of the Mississippi River flood plain, the event offers century riders the chance to set a personal best time unimpeded by any elevation changes! At the same time, beginning or recreational cyclists get a chance to experience our beautiful Spring weather firsthand-banishing the last vestiges of that "cabin fever"! Offering well-marked, well-supported, low traffic routes of 15, 30, 62, and 100 miles.

Held in conjunction with the annual "Sikeston in Bloom" flower show and Historic Downtown car show, the ride will begin and end at the Union Pacific Depot Museum on West Malone Avenue in Historic Downtown Sikeston.
