Past: Girl Scout Day Camp

The Elks' Campground

Green is Our Nature at Girl Scout Day Camp! Day Camp will be held at the Elks' Campground from June 6 through June 10, 2016. The cost is $45 per girl for registered Girl Scouts and $60 for non-Girl Scouts. Girls from kindergarten through seniors in high school are invited. Understanding ourselves begins with understanding the world around us. This summer, Girl Scout Day Camp will focus on the outdoors, nature, the environment, ecology, and how we can help protect those things to sustain natural resources for current and future generations.

Every girl needs a chance to explore our beautiful world of nature. At camp this year, they will do that through girl-led activities, learning by doing, and through cooperative learning. Activities will include Naturalism, Recycling, Art, Science, and many others.

And, of course, there will be the chance for girls to learn about themselves, each other, and to live by the Girl Scout Law. They’ll go for hikes, build fires, prepare meals, sing songs, play games, and learn crafts.

The deadline for registration is May 6, 2016. Please email Laura Clubb at laura.clubb@gmail.com to receive registration materials.
