Past: Prescription Drug Take Back

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a vital public safety and public health issue. More than seven million Americans currently abuse prescription drugs, according to the 2009 Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's National Survery on Drug Use and Health. Epic will help combat this statistic by taking back unused or expired medication. There will be a drive-through event held at the Jackson Police and Fire Department. An event was going to be held at West Park Mall but is has been cancelled to due inclement weather as it was going to be held in the parking lot. There are permanent prescription drug drop boxes at the Cape Girardeau Police Department and the Jackson Police Department.
