Past: Scott City Summerfest

There will be a new attraction at the festival this year. Marriott Amusements will be hosting the rides this year. June 2 will be family night with the fairgrounds opening at 5 p.m. On stage that evening will be the Southern Brothers 6:30 to 8 p.m. On Friday, the evening will begin with the fairground opening at 5 p.m. The baby contest will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the Tots, the Little Mister and Miss and the Junior Miss contest. At 7 p.m., a bag toss tournament will be held at the horseshoe building witha $5 entry fee. Following the pageants, Kenny Holder with Pro Sound Dynamixx will be on stage for karaoke and dance music until 11 p.m. On Saturday, the afternoon begins with a noon horseshoe tournament hosted by the Horseshoe Association. On stage at 5 p.m. will be a Heartland Talent Showcase Contest beginning with the junior division, intermediate and senior following. After the talent show the Scott County Sheriff's Department will host a demonstration and dedication of their newly acquired hi-tech drone. There will be a boot set up by the sheriff's department through the three-day festival for questions and answers. Following the demonstration registration for the washer contest will begin and Paragon will perform. The evening fireworks display will be at 10 p.m.
