Past: Rodeo

Marble Hill Optimist Club's SEMO Rodeo Association rodeo is scheduled for August 27 with Slak at 10 a.m. and main performance at 7 p.m. at the Optimist horse arena in Marble Hill. All are invited to come out and have a great time at the rodeo.

Admission to attend is $6 for anyone 11 years and older and $3 for children ages 8-10. Children under 8 years old are free.

Rodeo event categories include: Pee Wee barrels & poles for 8 years and under; Jr. barrels & poles for 13 years and under; Sr. barrels & poles for 14-18 years; Adult barrels & poles for 19 years and older; goat tying for 13 and under, 14-18 and adults; calf riding for 10 and under; steer riding for 11-14; Jr. bulls for 14-18; open bulls for 19 and older; chute dogging for 14-18; open chute dogging, calf roping for 14-18; Jr. breakaway for 13 and under; Sr. breakaway for 14-18; open breakaway and team roping.

You don't have to be a member to participate. Please call 573-624-2830 for entrance fees to participate in the rodeo and in case of inclement weather. You can also call that number to enter by Tuesday, August 23.
