The Regional Quilt Show presented by the River Heritage Quilt Guild will be held on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau. Tickets may be obtained at the entrance for $5.00.
Activities:
Silent Auction (proceeds to Pink Up Cape)
Opportunity Quilt Raffle ($1 per ticket/try)
Quilt Judings with cash prizes and ribbons
Quilt Appraisals by Ann Hazelwood, noted quilted and author
“Bed Turning” of quilts with their stories
Vendors of quilting supplies and other arts
Viewing of all the beautiful quilts in many categories contributed for presentation and judging
Sandwiches and luscious, freshly made cinnamon rolls will also be available.
River Heritage Quilt Guild is the only one in this regional area and has been serving local quilters and the community for 27 years. They have many, many community contributions: annual presentation of "Quilts of Valor" to local veterans, quilts prepared and given out to needy community organizations and individuals (including Safe a House for Women and Lutheran Children's).
