Past: How to Begin Your Family History: A Workshop

A how-to workshop for beginning genealogists, or those who want to "do it right." Topics to be included are tips on beginning your research; the U.S. Federal Census; other records providing family information such as probate, wills, military records, cemetery and church records and tax records; and how to locate resources online and elsewhere. The cost is $10 and includes handouts, refreshments, and a 1-year membership to the Cape Girardeau Co. Genealogical Society. Send a check made out to the Society to: PO Box 571, Jackson, MO 63755.
