Past: National Life Chain

Cemetery of the Innocents

On Sunday, October 2, 2016 SEMO Lifesavers, the Cape Girardeau chapter of Missouri Right to Life will be participating in the annual National Life Chain. This is a pro-life event which takes place in over 1,500 cities and towns across the US and Canada. This event began in 1987 and each year since. The main purpose is to stand silently and pray for the babies, and the men and women who often suffer for the rest of their lives after having made that choice. We also pray for God to forgive us as a nation, for since 1973 we have taken the lives of over 58,000,000 innocent babies. It will be held along Hwy 55 in front of the Cemetery of the Innocents (the white crosses). Go south on Mt. Auburn and it is just past the Highway 74 intersection onto Interstate 55. We are not allowed to park on the street, so please park on the grass at the site. Please arrive early in order to park and walk down to the site. We will have appropriate signs to hold if you wish to do so. Dress appropriately, as it is sometimes very windy. For more information, you may contact Cheri Adcock at 573-579-1737 or cheri.adcock@att.net.
