Past: A Halloween Soiree at The Liberty Theater to benefit The Good Samaritan House

The Liberty Theater

GeekBetty Vintage and More presents: A Halloween Soiree at The Liberty; a family friendly event to benefit The Good Samaritan House of Carbondale. Ticket price includes: a costume show, costume contest with prizes, and a showing of a classic Halloween movie, "Hocus Pocus".

A great way to support your community and enjoy Halloween festivities for the whole family, the Halloween Soiree will feature a vintage inspired Halloween costume show curated by GeekBetty Vintage and More, as well as geek inspired handmade clothing created by Natd20 clothing. The show will offer tips and ideas on creating costumes from vintage and handmade items from our emcee Tobias Merriman and will feature some familiar faces modeling the costumes.

We highly encourage attendees to dress in their favorite Halloween costumes! Following the costume show will be a costume contest for children AND adults! Every participant will receive a prize and the top winners will receive prizes from one of our generous community sponsors. Prizes will be announced before the show.

There will be a "create your own superhero" costume booth at the event where participants can color superhero masks and draw a design on their cape and take it home/wear it that day. A "Spooky Treats" bake sale table will be set up with delicious treats available to purchase. Featured for free will be kid's face painting.

And to wrap the entire evening up, included with your ticket price, a showing of a favorite Halloween film, "Hocus Pocus" on the big screen. Hocus Pocus is a family friendly movie about a trio of witches in modern day Salem. "After three centuries, three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night, and it is up to two teenagers, a young girl and an immortal cat to put an end to the witches' reign of terror once and for all." Be prepared to laugh, to cry, and to fall in love with a scamp of a cat.

The Liberty Theater will have fresh popped popcorn and soft drinks available to purchase at the event to help you enjoy the full movie experience! Every event hosted at The Liberty Theater helps to keep this historic landmark up and running.

At the event, we will be collecting donations for The Good Samaritan House - including household items, food, and money. A portion of the proceeds from this event will also be donated to GSH. We will include a list of items that GSH is in need of in the discussion and can also provide lists to any local businesses that may need one.

Tickets are $14.00 in advance or $18.00 at the door. Children under 3 get in for free and $8.00 for children 3-12 availalbe at the door. Portion of all tickets purchased will go to the Good Samaritan House. Tickets will be available to purchase at Fringe the salon, from GeekBetty Vintage and More, or online at www.squadup.com/events/a-halloween-soiree-at-the-liberty
