Past: Dino Days Dinosaur Sculpting

Bollinger County Museum of Natural History

October is International Dinosaur Month. Join us at the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History in Marble Hill on Saturday, October 8, 2016, as we kick off Dinosaur Days 2016.

Brian Phillips will present a workshop on "Dinosaur Sculpting" from 2:00-3:00pm. Phillips will discuss the environment and plant life dinosaurs would have encountered and why the environment was different from now. Different types of dinosaur anatomy will be discussed using pictures of dinosaurs and clay as visual aids in explaining aspects of dinosaur anatomy. All participants will have the opportunity to make and take home a dinosaur model. The dinosaur sculpting program is open to all ages.

Learn about prehistoric life in Missouri and across the continent through our dinosaur and ice age exhibits.

Children's activities will include a dinosaur scavenger hunt, dinosaur puzzles, games, rubbings, and more!

Receive a free Missouri dinosaur magnet with your paid admission; while supplies last.

Regular admission will apply and includes all the extra activities of the day.

Admission: Adults: $5 each and 17 years and under $2 each.

The Museum will be open from 12pm-4:30pm
