Past: 12x12xMoFA

Arts Council of Southeast Missouri

From November 4 - 26, the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will display “12x12xMoFA,” an exhibit featuring works by members of the Missouri Fiber Artists.

The Missouri Fiber Artists (MoFA) are makers, creators and artists whose work primarily features natural or synthetic fibers, including textiles, fabrics, paper, reed, yarn, thread, and more. Through the organization they unite as a community that shares a love of fiber. Their work often is intended to evoke meaning that goes beyond the materials.

For this special exhibition at the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri, all Missouri Fiber Artists members were invited to submit one or two pieces of original fiber artworks. Forty-seven pieces will be on display, each sized 12 inches by 12 inches.

The Visual Arts Cooperative will also debut new works in the Visual Arts Cooperative Gallery. Featured window exhibitors for November are Sarah Cochrane and Tom Neumeyer.

The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri is located at 16B North Spanish Street in Cape Girardeau, MO. Galleries are open Tuesday- Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.
