Past: 5th Annual Cape Girardeau Hammered Dulcimer Concert and Workshop

Hammered Dulcimer concert by nationally-known performer Rick Thum follows an all-day hands-on workshop for intermediate players. Thum draws on melodies and songs from traditional to country to folk--and makes the music come alive. Concert-only admission $10 adult; $5 student; free for workshop participants. Workshop "From Simple Melody to Performance": 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., $50 paid at the door. Optional potluck lunch free. Optional jam session, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
