Past: SEABEE Ball

VFW Post 3838

There will be a formal SEABEE Ball to celebrate its 75th anniversary. All active and former SEABEES throughout Southeast Missouri, Southern Illinois and St. Louis are invited to attend. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6 p.m. Special recognition will be given to the youngest SEABEE and the oldest SEABEE as well as keepsakes, military SEABEES displays and music provided during the evening. All are encouraged to wear their dress blues or suit. RSVP is required. The U.S. Navy SEABEES were a hybrid unit of the Navy, formed March 5, 1942 during World War II and had continued special operations during the Korean War, the Vietnam War and even now during the most recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every major amphibious landing during the Pacific campaign during WWII involved the SEABEES along with their brother Marines in combat. For more information contact Thomas M.
