Past: African-American Women Writers: Over 200 Years of Influence

Join Dr. Christopher Rieger, professor of English and Director of the Center for Faulkner Studies at Southeast Missouri State University, as he discusses prominent African American women writers from the 18th to the 21st century. A brief overview and discussion of significant authors throughout American history will be followed by a Q&A session, including asking the audience about their own favorite authors and works.
This event will take place in the Oscar Hirsch room and is free and open to the public.
