Past: Sheepdog Seminar

Cape County Cowboy Church

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department and Cape County Cowboy Church will sponsor this seminar which is based on the sheep, wolf and sheepdog premise. The use of the word sheepdog is simply a metaphor used to describe someone who is concerned for the welfare and safety of others. The general public is invited. Church leaders, school staff, police officers, business owners, community leaders and anyone concerned about violence at schools, churches and businesses are urged to attend the seminar. Jimmy Meeks will address violence on church property, protecting children from sex crimes at places of worship and in general and the role of the Sheepdog from 1 to 5 p.m. on March 10. Carl Chinn will discuss The New Life Church tragedy from 7 to 9 p.m. on March 10. On March 11, Lt. Col. Dave Grossman will present "The Bulletproof Mind" which will include the truth about the explosion of violence in America, how the body responds to a violent attack and how to train your body to respond the right way from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
