Past: NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner

Ray’s Banquet Center

The Freedom Fund Dinner is an established tradition for NAACP branches across the country which allows them to raise critical funds to effect change and advance the cause of civil and human rights in America. The Freedom Fund Dinner also is an opportunity to recognize community leaders, local businesses and national corporations, as well as emerging leaders — all of whom are actively challenging society to end discrimination, embrace diversity and ensure greater opportunity for all people. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Diversity” because the fusion of cultures here in America is so unique and so exceptional that citizens can be just as proud of their original cultural heritage as they are to be American.

Carlos Vargas, President of Southeast Missouri State University, will be the keynote speaker. The program will include dinner, entertainment and fellowship. Tickets are $50 per person and $90 per couple.
