Past: 'Let the Church Say Amen: A Celebration of Gospel Music'

Altha Robinson will give the presentation about gospel music. Robinson, a music teacher from Sikeston, is a Cape Girardeau native. She attended elementary, high school and college in Cape and taught music in the public schools in Cape for more than 25 years. She will talk about the history of gospel music. She will discuss the development, influence and importance of the genre. She will touch on the great singers, songs and composers and will share highlights from the genre’s beginnings through present day.
