Past: Janie Brown & the Chestnut Mountain Gang in Concert

Fellowship Baptist Church will host a bluegrass gospel concert by the well-known local band, Janie Brown & the Chestnut Mountain Gang, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Pastor Frank Burgess invites everyone to join us for morning worship at 10:45, stay for a delicious potluck Easter dinner in our Fellowship Hall, followed by a relaxing afternoon of uplifting gospel music with Janie Brown & the Chestnut Mountain Gang!

The band presents the gospel message in their own unique style, combining guitar & banjo licks, mandolin & string bass, close harmonies, and varied tempos! There will be some familiar toe-tapping hymns you can sing along with, new tunes, and some good-natured humor to keep you entertained. The group’s desire is that their music will provide encouragement and hope, resulting in a deeper, closer walk with Jesus!

Everyone is welcome to attend any or all the day’s events. There is NO CHARGE for the Easter potluck or the gospel concert; however, potluck dishes are appreciated for the meal.
