Come spend Derby Day in beautiful Downtown Ste. Genevieve.

Ste. Genevieve Downtown Renewal Project is proud to sponsor the annual Derby Day event. This year featured activities will be held in Lion’s Club Park conveniently located on Market Street.

Activities include a Derby Hat contest, stick horse races, and an Amazing Derby Race throughout our beautiful Downtown district. There will be complimentary snacks for participants, as well as prizes awarded to the winners of each of the main activities.

Registration for the hat contest, horse race, and Amazing Derby Race begins at 11 a.m. The hat contest will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the other activities.

Be sure to visit the participating restaurants to get a mint julep or a bourbon in our souvenir cup.

The Amazing Derby Race is a 2 person team event similar to The Amazing Race show. Registration fee of $10 per team, team slots are limited. The winning team will earn half of the registration fees collected.
