Past: Out of the Darkness Walk

Kent Library, Southeast Missouri State University

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students. Together, we CAN and WILL reduce this number. When you commit to supporting the cause, you are ensuring adequate mental health resources are available to student populations, while taking a stand against the stigma of mental illness. The entirety of your donation goes to suicide prevention efforts: 50% stays in our local area and 50% funds national prevention campaigns. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc has teamed up with Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity to host the 3rd Annual Out of Darkness Walk which will benefit American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). The walk will occur in front of Kent Library April 22, 2017. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. the walk will begin at 10 a.m. We would love if you would join our team as a volunteer, form a team, or become a sponsor.

Thank you for your dedication to making a difference! Together we can break the stigma!
