Educational Event for Special Needs Children at the Zoo!

Registration is NOT required. Facility is wheelchair & handicapped accessible.

Trained staff (including Board Certified Behavior Analyst) will be on site to assist zoo staff with this event.

Zoo Admission of $7 per person (ages 2 to adult) includes:

ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS

Get up close & personal with some of the animals at the zoo!

SENSORY TOUCH & FEEL

Touch and feel biofacts such as antlers, eggs, quills, feathers, etc.

INFORMATION BOOTHS

Local agencies & organizations will be setup to give educational and other information.

DOOR PRIZE GIVEAWAYS

Drawings for FREE Zoo Memberships, Birthday Party Package, Guest Passes, T-Shirts & more!

Every person attending Sensory Safari will get a chance to signup for the door prize drawing of their choice! Door Prize Drawings held at 6 p.m. Participants do not need to be present to win.

The above special events are included in the zoo admission price.

PARAKEET JUNGLE

Get Cheek to Beak with a Parakeet! Feedsticks are $1 each or 6 for $5 to feed the parakeets!

GEMSTONE MINING

Get a bag of mining rough ($5 per bag) to mine for gems, minerals, & fossils! Take home your findings!

ANIMAL RIDES

Animal Rides with a spotter will be available for $5 per rider.
