Bereaved Parent Support Group April 24 Meeting

Join us at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 223 W. Adams St. in Jackson. Topic will be "The Silent Scream of Pain" from A GRACE DISGUISED. We can/often do fight the pain of child loss by denying the reality of our loss, bargaining with God, venting anger. These are all part of the normal grieving process. Yet, this response hinders the soul’s capacity to grow bigger. The deep pain of loss reflects the pure pleasure/love we had for our child. So, we face the pain. The intensity will subside. Yet, it will likely show its ugly face again and again. But we will remember the love. We will be able to feel both the pain of child loss and the joy our child brought to our lives.

Use back fenced-in church parking lot. Enter double glass doors and take stairs or elevator to lower level. This is a community wide group. All bereaved parents are welcome regardless of how old your child was at death or when your child died.
