Past: Financial Planning for Special Needs Family Members

Heartland Down Syndrome Association will host a seminar on financial planning for special needs family members on Saturday, May 13, from 10 am to 12 noon. Local attorney Alexa Lorenz, of Lorenz and Lorenz LLC will present information on the available options including ABLE accounts and special needs trusts, the advantages and disadvantages of each, and what to avoid when planning for the future of a family member with special needs. The seminar will be held in the Oscar Hirsch Room of the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Anyone interested in learning about financial planning for a special needs family member is invited to attend and there is no charge for the seminar. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED due to limited seating.
