Past: Art Expressions 2017

Jackson Junior High School

Art Expressions is the Jackson R-2 School District all-district art show for grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Art stations for children's arts activities will take place at several areas in the gym. All ages are welcome to participants in the arts 'make and take' activities as well as face painting. There will be drawings for prizes and art supples. The Southeast Missouri State Ceramics Club students will demonstrate wheel-thrown pottery and selling their ceramic pieces. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, prizes will be presented to the winning art pieces of the 2017 Heritage Association Art contest and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, longtime Jackson R-2 fine arts educator and administrator, Fred O. Jones, will be recognized with the "Friend of the Arts" honor.
