Celebrate with your family and friends at the Jackson Parks and Recreation's July 4th celebration in Jackson City Park. Admission and parking is free. The Independence Day 5K Walk/Run and children's fun run will start at 7:04 a.m., with start and finish line at Healthpoint Fitness. The mud volleyball tournament starts at 8:30 a.m. Helicopter rides will start at 8:30 a.m. The Capaha Antique Car Club car show will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Jackson Elks Lodge beer garden will be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Little Miss and Mister Firecracker pageant will be held at 9 a.m. at the bandshell. Food stands will open at 9 a.m. The Hubble Creek Rubber Duck Race will begin at 11 a.m. The golf ball drop will be at 4 p.m. The Southern Brothers will provide live music 7 to 8 p.m. at the bandshell and the Jackson Municipal Band will play 8 to 9:30 p.m. at the bandshell. The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 p.m.
