Past: Total Solar Eclipse in Cape Girardeau Viewing Party

Watch the first total solar eclipse visible in Cape Girardeau since 1869 on Monday, August 21, 2017 from the Cape Sportsplex! We'll have free t-shirts commemorating this celestial event for the first 200 attendees, and glasses on hand for the first 1,000. Food trucks will be on hand (2 Sides Grillin', the Melting Co and Andy's Sweet Tooth) and you'll have a chance to take in this incredible event surrounded by family and friends in a fun, festive atmosphere.

Cape Girardeau will experience about 1 minute and 48 seconds under the Moon's shadow in this once-in-a-lifetime event.
