Cape Girardeau Public Library

The Southeast Missouri chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America will meet on Wednesday, August 2 at 7 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. We are a group of concerned citizens from around the area who believe in common sense solutions to gun violence. Please join us as we make plans for a concert in Cape Girardeau as part of the "Concerts Across America to End Gun Violence" on September 24. We will also being making plans to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy on December 14.

Featured at the meeting will be a presentation of the nation-wide gun safety program, Be Smart for Kids, which advocates for safe gun storage to reduce the number of unintentional shootings by kids. To learn more about it go to www.besmartforkids.org
