Past: 4th Annual Horseshoes 4 'everyday' HEROES Tournament

Al Friga Farm

Come on out to the Al Friga Farm (Paul Friga) located on Highway 77 between Chaffee and Oran (off of County Road 248) to the 4th Annual Horseshoes 4 "everyday" HEROES Tournament on Saturday, October 21 from 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. (Banners and Signs will be posted so you can easily find your way!)

Yer gonna need a pardner for this here tournament. Cost will be $25.00 per person/$50.00 per team. We will be using our special wooden safety horseshoes. (That’s right folks—this is not yer or’inary horseshoes!) No skeel required just plain ol’ luck.

Yer official Horseshoes 4 “everyday” HEROES coolie cup will be waiting for all you paid entrants. Plus, you will get 4 tickets to use as you like—beer, food, or other beverages. After that pardner, you are on yer own. At 12:00 noon, the first team will start on a pit trek designed by a fanatical crew includin’ tires, traps, and tricks (some of the pits consist of ringing a HUGE bra, a pair of gigantic panties, a toilet seat, kiddie pool filled with empty beer cans, deer antlers duct taped to stake, etc., etc.). 18 different pits and you play 'em all. Score cards will be given out with the explanation of ROOLES just before startin’. What disputes that Tina, Christy or Mitch Miller can’t reconcile, o’Grandpa and his trusty hound dog will sure settle. RAIN OR SHINE; party tent on the premises with tables and chairs! We will be sellin’ neon green, neon blue, neon pink and neon orange T-shirts with our famous Horseshoes 4 “everyday” HEROES logo for $10.00. Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Mouse races by War Child, Cornhole, Washers, and Yardzee will also be a part of this here tournament - lauts of fun!!!! Special sponsors will be 2 Sides Grillin', Kohlfeld Distributing, and DJ Tom Music and Karaoke.

All proceeds will benefit the Retired Senior Volunteer Program/Volunteer Intergenerational Center and their Volunteers (our “everyday” Heroes) in providing services to other organizations and HEROES in our communities. RSVP/VIC are services of Aging Matters, formerly known as Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging.
