Past: Child Abduction Awareness and Avoidance Seminar

Three free seminars will be offered on September 23. The first is "Child Abduction Awareness and Avoidance Seminar". It is for ages 6 to 10. Psychological and physical actions the children can take that are age appropriate will be addressed and practiced. Due to the physical size difference the child will be facing, emphasis for physical defense is placed upon impairing the mobile of the abductor. The class will be from 10 to 11 a.m.

The second seminar is "Awareness and Escapes for Kids". The ages are 11 to 13. Escapes from common holds will be addressed. There will also be other physical components as well as education on tactics used by perpetrators to entice their intended victims. The class will be from 11 a.m. to noon.

An adult guardian must be present for each of these two classes.

The third seminar is Self Defense for Females. It is for ages 14 to 65. The emphasis will be on taking physical and psychological control away from an attacker. Time is noon to 1 p.m.
