U.S. Air Force jazz ensemble concert

The U.S. Air Force Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble will perform a free concert presented by the Altenthal-Joerns Post 158 of the American Legion in Jackson. The band, part of the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America, is a 13-piece big band which performs traditional swing, bebop, modern jazz, vocal selections and other musical selections. The concert is free, but tickets are required for admission. Tickets are available at the Cash-Book Journal offices, Jones Drug Store, Country Mart, Horst Pharmacy and Schnucks. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
