Guitar Duo Melis

Susana Prieto, from Santander, Spain, and Alexis Muzurakis from Athens, Greece, have won numerous prizes, both individually and together. As a duo,
since 1999 they have won five first prizes in international guitar competitions in Germany, France, and Italy. In 2003 they recorded their first CD after winning the recording prize "Citta di Verona" at the International Chamber Music Competition of Gaetano Zinetti (Italy). Since then they have concertized in major venues both in the USA and Europe, and performed with international orchestras in Germany. Their St. Louis debut program includes music by Enrique Granados,
Alberto Ginastera, and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
