The Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus will host a “Weaving Wall Hangers” Make and Take Activity as part of Cape Girardeau’s First Friday with the Arts activities Aug. 2 from 4-8 p.m.

The event will be repeated on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 1-4 p.m.

The public is invited to attend, and admission is free. Supplies are provided.

Museum staff will lead participants in using cardboard as a loom to weave a simple, small, colorful wall hanging that can be enhanced with beads or other adornments. For additional color, the hanging sticks can be colored. The whole process only takes about half an hour to complete.
