DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us for Project Hope, a special community gathering focused on bringing people together, building connections, and sharing hope for our community. What is Project Hope?  Project Hope is a one-shop, one-stop event for our most vulnerable population and community. Many participants are of our homeless population or on the verge of homelessness. Individuals will connect with services that will bring them closer to stability.  When is Project Hope?  Friday, October 9, 2026 10am until 2pm  Where will Project Hope be held?  Shawnee Park Center | 835 South West End Boulevard Cape Girardeau, MO 63703   What can I expect from Project Hope?   NO COST services for low income and homeless families & individuals. The event will provide haircuts, groceries to take home, lunch, medical assessments, vision assessments, access to MO birth certificates, breast exams, flu shots, employment resources, pet food & information and much more.  Is there any cost or fees for participants?   This is a NO COST event for the community. Services are covered by sponsors and donations of the event.  Can children attend Project Hope?  Yes, there is a Kid’s Zone area facilitated by certified & trained early childhood specialists from Thrive: Birth to Five.
