Past: Fourth Friday Art Walk
Art Center
This month's 4th Friday Art Walk in historic Ste. Genevieve will feature a range of artists and activities beginning at 6pm on Friday, May 23.
The Saint Genevieve Art Guild will feature art from the May 17th "Art in the Garden" event in addition to a large exhibit of member art at the Art Center at 310 Merchant Street. Visitors are invited to enjoy the new trees, shrubs and grasses planted around the public sculpture dedicated last year to our first Native American artists. Funds for the landscaping were provided by a grant from the Master Gardener's and some private donations.
Silver Sycamore Gallery says former Ste. Genevieve resident Mike Schuerman will show "some of his beautiful, one-of-a-kind, handcrafted guitars and talk about his process and the specific woods he uses to produce their mellow, melodic sound. He’ll be starting his presentation at 5:30.
ASL Pewter on Third Street just south of Market also will be open.
At Market and Second Street La Petite Fleur and QRST will be open with Connie Klein, local artist and recent award winner in the Art is Ageless competition as the featured artist. Other local artists' work also can be seen at both locations. Ryan Fisher will be playing music in nearby Lions Club Park.
