Past: National Night Out with Cape Girardeau Police Department

Target

From 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, the Cape Girardeau Police Department, along with Target, invite you to the National Night Out event at the Cape Girardeau Target location (202 Siemers Drive).

Free Child ID Kits will be given to the first 500 kids and free Target activity bags will be given to the first 100 kids in attendance.

Various patrol vehicles, including the Southeast Missouri Regional Bomb Squad Truck/Robot and the Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) van, will be on-site for citizens to view. In addition, the Special Response Team and K-9 Unit will be providing demonstrations.

National Night Out is an annual event designed to strengthen our communities by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime-prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs, and most importantly, send a message that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. It’s also the perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbors even better.

For more information visit www.nationalnightout.org. If you have any questions about the event, please contact the Cape Girardeau Police Department at 573-335-6621. We hope to see you there!
