Past: 50th Anniversary Celebration - Mt. Auburn Christian Church

On April 28, Mt. Auburn Christian Church, 930 N. Mt. Auburn Road in Cape will celebrate it's 50th anniversary.

The congregation held it first meeting on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1969 in a building near where the Concourse is today. The pastor was Ronnie Kannaird who was a technician for Sears. The congregation later purchased property on Mt. Auburn Rd at Hopper Rd. that consisted of a small plumbing shop and 3.5acres.

Our speakers for the celebration will be Jim Graddy of Higdon, Mo. who was pastor from 1981-1990, and Wes Wright who was pastor from 1990 -2009.

Services will be at 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
