Past: Catapult Hosting Screenprinting Art Installation and Custom T-shirt Printing Dec. 3

Southeast Missouri State University’s Catapult Creative House will host an interactive hand printed art installation and live custom T-shirt printing as part of Cape Girardeau’s First Friday with the Arts activities Dec. 3 from 5-8 p.m. The art installation will be presented by Southeast students as part of a “Screenprinting” course, taught by Hannah Sanders, associate professor and area head of printmaking. As part of the custom printing, participants can pick any design and bring their own T-shirt, tote, or other surface for $8, or purchase an ice-gray t-shirt with any design for $20. Blank totes, tea towels and bandanas are also available for purchase. Students have also created a “Finals Blind,” a cozy hide-away for relaxation against the stress of finals, constructed from repurposed fabrics hand printed with unique patterns.

Catapult Creative House is located at 612 Broadway in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public.
