Enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest as we hike along the mighty Mississippi on the east loop of the Peewah Trail at Trail of Tears State Park. This trail is 3.1 miles long and rated as intermediate. Ages 12-17 accompanied by a registered adult are welcome. For those participating in the Cape Nature Center’s “A Year in Color,” this program will earn a yellow outdoor adventure bead.

We will meet at the Cape Nature Center at 8:30 am and ride together in our passenger van. If you would like to drive yourself, please let Cameron know at Cameron.Johnston@mdc.mo.gov or by calling 573-290-5218. Parking may be limited. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Bring water, lunch, and any comfort items. Will be cancelled is poor weather.
