Past: Nature Center at Night: Six-legged Superstars

About half of all living things on our planet are insects; isn’t it about time you took an opportunity to meet them? Join us for an evening of six-legged fun! This program is part of our “Nature Center at Night” series, the nature center will be open from 5 to 9:30pm this evening. We will have buggy crafts and games all evening, but the real adventure begins when the sun goes down. Staff will be on our front lawn to introduce you to the insects that show up at our giant outdoor light traps and you won’t believe how many critters come by to visit. We will find moths of every color and shape, lacewings, beetles, and so many others. So, buzz on over and meet your most numerous neighbors! If you are participating in Cape Nature Center’s “A Year in Color” this program earns a wild bead and can represent any color for the contest.
