Come learn about one of Missouri’s largest mammals: elk! These big animals look a little like reindeer, but they’re not used to pull any sleighs. Elk are wild animals that grow massive antlers and make impressive bugling noises. These animals were reintroduced into our state a little over 10 years ago. For those participating in the Cape Nature Center’s “A Year in Color,” this program will earn a red wildlife bead.

Little Acorns programs are designed to help children ages 3-6 learn about the natural world through hands on experiences, crafts, and focused free-play activities.
