Past: Thebes Courthouse Tours

The 1848 Thebes Courthouse will be open for tours. The Thebes Historical Society will host its annual Memorial Day weekend event. The courthouse will be open from noon to 3 pm. on Saturday, May 24 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 25. On Sunday, Kentucky Hillbilly's barbecue sandwiches as well as chips, ice cream, soda and bottled water will be available. A community worship service will held be inside the courthouse at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Ray McAfee of Thebes First Baptist Church bring the message and Julia Duff Thrower of Thebes leading the worship. A quilt raffle will be held also. Tours of the courthouse will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday throughout the tourism season.
