Early Settlement in Cape Girardeau County on the Mississippi River

Explore the region’s early history with a musical concert by renowned musician and French Creole interpreter and educator, Dennis Stroughmatt. The concert will be followed by a keynote address by Suzanne Michelle Jones, a storyteller and expert on Native American migration and history in the region. Suzanne’s presentation is a part of the Missouri Speakers Bureau. This presentation is free and open to the public and presented in partnership with the Cape Girardeau County Historical Society and the Missouri Arts Council.
