Past: Cape Girardeau Roller Derby Summer Slam: Fun For All Ages!

Cape Girardeau Roller Derby (CGRD) is set to host its third annual Summer Slam, a full day of roller derby action! Visit the AC Brase Arena Building in Cape on Saturday, June 28 to watch more than 60 skaters from 18 teams, representing seven states, battle for a spot in the main event. The doors open at 8 AM, and the first scrimmage will begin at 9 AM. This event will run all day and will include six scrimmages followed by the main event at 5 PM, when 18 CGRD skaters will face off against MVP skaters chosen from the scrimmages. This year, we're doing something special: skaters will wear pool floaties for the first half of the main event. You don't wanna miss it!

The concession stand will be open, and a variety of vendors will have merchandise available for sale, including Glitz Girl Clique tooth gems, Made With Heart Crafts, Link & Lock Permanent Jewelry, and more! This is a family-friendly event, and children age 7 and under get in free. Spectator tickets are $10 at the door. The event is air-conditioned, so you can beat the heat while watching some sizzling-hot moves on the track. We can't wait to see you there!
