Crisp Museum will host the 48th Annual “Exhibiting Excellence” Juried High School Exhibition from February 15 through March 8.
The public is invited to attend a reception to support the participants selected for this exhibition and an awards ceremony, which will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 15.
This art exhibition, sponsored by Saint Francis Healthcare System, will highlight the talent of regional students in grades 11 and 12 residing in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois and will feature sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, photography, drawing, painting, digital art, fibers, and more.
The juror selecting artworks for this year’s exhibition is Justin Henry Miller, Professor and Area Head of Painting in the Department of Art and Design at Southeast Missouri State University, where he teaches all levels of painting and a range of foundation courses. Miller earned his MFA in Studio Art from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana, and his MA in Studio Art and BA in Art Education, both from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston. Miller is a nationally exhibited artist and is represented by Zg Gallery in Chicago, IL, and Bruno David Gallery in St. Louis, MO.
