Conservation Teens: Kayaks & Quacks

Registration period: March 28 - April 16

What if you could combine ducks and kayaks? YOU CAN!! Join us as we travel to Duck Creek Conservation Area to do just that. We will join the area’s wildlife biologist as he performs his annual wood duck banding. Participants will visit the duck boxes located around one of the area’s ponds to check for new hatches and help band the ones that are found. Afterwards, teens will have the opportunity to practice their kayaking skills and explore the rest of the pond. An introduction on kayaking will be given prior to getting on the water.
