Past: Lure Painting

Hand painted lures used to be common among anglers but with the rise of mass manufacturing the practice has somewhat fallen off. The skill takes time and effort to master but anyone with patience and a steady hand can create a lure capable of catching fish. Join us at the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center for an opportunity to paint poppers and crankbaits with time proven patterns and preserve this skill for future anglers.
